AQUA2009 - IIChE-MRC- Resource Development on wastewater treatment

Mr. Lalit Vashishta from Diva Envitec Europe Ltd was the Convener for AQUA2009 held at Holiday Inn, Goa.
Mumbai Regional Centre (MRC), the largest regional centre of IIChE had organizing this programme  water and wastewater treatment. AQUA2009 was be held from 4th July to 5th July 2009 at Holiday Inn, Goa.

Introducing “Bhageeratha” - The Water Prize

To reinforce its commitment towards the cause of WATER, IIChE has instituted an annual Water prize called “Bhageeratha” to encourage and recognize the creative contribution of chemical engineers in the field of water and wastewater treatment. The winners were be judged from invited case studies by a panel of eminent chemical engineers drawn from the industry and academia.  Nominations were received  in the form of case studies for this year’s  “Bhageeratha” – The Water Prize  which was given to M/s Sterlite Industries Ltd, runners up were Reliance Industries Ltd, and the third prize went to M/s GE Water - Bangalore.
