Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), Government of India has targeted Biogas power. The cleaning of Biogas (Methane Gas) generated from Distillery Spent wash, sewage treatment plant, dairy and agro industries is a must to enable the gas meet the specification of commercial natural gas after the removal of H2S and maybe  CO2 to be used in gas Engine instead of the conventional turbine route.  The range of the gas to be cleaned could vary from  2000 to 10000 cu.m. per day to incorporate biogas cleaning systems to meet the commercial natural gas specification so that the upgraded gas can be efficiently used. The specifications of the Biogas could be in the following ranges :
